When Kentucky starts against NC State tomorrow at noon, they’ll be doing it without the redshirt junior cornerback Cedrick Dort. Dort announced the news via Twitter tonight.
Unfortunately I will not play this last game with my brothers, but they know real love, let’s get this Dub #BBN???

This morning, Coach Stoops announced that the team was 100% after completing its final round of COVID testing. It is unclear whether Dort’s status is due to an opt-out or other unforeseen circumstances.
This season, Dort allowed seven receptions on 11 targets for 72 yards with ten tackles as well. He has two pass deviations in the year. Dort didn’t see many photos in 2020 behind Kelvin Joseph, but South Florida Native saw a big increase in photos against South Carolina after Joseph gave up a few days earlier.
Kentucky will now look for Carrington Valentine and Brandin Echols at the curve on Saturday.
It’s a pretty narrow cornerback room for Brad White’s defense on Saturday.
