The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to publish guidelines on what is considered safe for people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the “next few days,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday.
The White House’s chief medical advisor said federal guidelines would be available “soon” after authorities delayed his release last week.
“When you’re talking about references from people who are vaccinated and how a vaccinated person can interact with an unvaccinated person or with unvaccinated people, these guidelines are coming out of the CDC really soon. I imagine, for the next few days, for sure, ”Fauci told CBS anchor Margaret Brennan in“ Face the Nation ”.
As for when the whole country can resume normal life, Fauci said that Americans “will need to take it a little longer”.
“One of the things that I think we should point out, with each passing day that we keep control over things is going to get better and better, because now we are putting at least two million vaccines in the arms of individuals every day.” Fauci said.
“And with the passing of days and weeks, you have more and more protection, not only from individuals, but from the community. So, we’re going in the right direction. “
