As if last year hadn’t been brutal enough, famous 16th century seer Nostradamus predicted that 2021 will be the year of the zombie apocalypse … but the CDC takes care of you.
It sounds crazy, but just in case, the CDC updated the “Zombie Preparation” section of its website – launched in 2011 – to advise people on how to prepare for disasters or emergencies … you know, how to fight the Dead -alive.
While the CDC makes it clear that it is not expecting a “World War Z” or “Walking Dead” situation in real life, it says its ironic zombie campaign “has proven to be a very effective platform”.
He adds … “We continue to reach and engage a wide variety of audiences in preparing for all dangers through ‘zombie preparation’.”
So, what kind of tips does he have to prepare for disasters, zombies or others? The general theme is “Get a kit. Make a plan. Be prepared.” … which comes down to having a stock of food, water and first aid at home to last at least 3 days. It also suggests backup energy sources, available medical records and prescription drugs.
It sounds like your basic emergency plan for earthquakes or tornadoes, right? But, then the CDC adds … “Although you are hopeless if a zombie stings you, you can use these supplies to treat basic cuts and lacerations that can occur during a tornado or hurricane.” So yes … they are inclined to do so.
Hey, Nostradamus was right about other things. I’m just saying … 🤷🏽♂️
