The CDC has released an update on travel guidelines to allow fully vaccinated Americans to travel without being tested or quarantined afterwards. While travelers were still expected to follow safety precautions, many shared the joy of returning to some kind of normalcy.
People fully vaccinated against #COVID-19 can travel within the United States and do not need a COVID-19 test or post-trip self-quarantine test, as long as they continue to take precautions during the trip: #Using a mask, avoid crowds and wash your hands frequently. https://t.co/9uzBuFZyWE pic.twitter.com/C7V8Ip0jJv

Despite an increasing number of infections, the CDC has ensured that it is safe for Americans to start traveling two weeks after receiving the final dose of the vaccine.

“I think it’s great,” said traveler Todd Baham. “Everyone likes their freedom to some extent. We want to go back to some kind of normalcy. So I’m fine with that, but I’m also not against anyone who isn’t. Each one with his mania. “
The updated guidance is expected to provide the necessary relief for the travel industry, which has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and has struggled to recover.
