CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky does not recommend that the general public wear N95 masks

There were many comings and goings during the pandemic with doctors recommending the use of N95 masks, but CDC Director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, is recommending the general public not to use them.

“They are very difficult to breathe when you use them properly,” said Walensky. “They are very difficult to tolerate when you use them for long periods of time.”

N95 masks are really designed for first responders.

You have probably seen people using it. The five-layer masks come with a foam nasal strip that covers much of your face.

Dr. Walensky, like Dr. Anthony Fauci, is still saying that people should wear masks, but they say that the general public does not need to wear N95s because they are uncomfortable and difficult to breathe.

They fear that people will not want to wear masks after having a bad experience using an N95.

“I spent a reasonable amount of time with an N95 mask. They are difficult to tolerate all day, every day,” said Walensky. “And in fact, when you really think about how well people will use them, I worry that if, if we suggest or require people to use an N95, they won’t use it all the time.”

“The most important thing is that everyone wears masks,” said Fauci.

With the new variant COVID-19, many people are wondering if you need to wear two masks.

The CDC says that you don’t have to do this, but then again, they recommend that you use at least one.
