CD Projekt Red may have a legal battle on your hands. In a file stained by Bloomberg, a company called Rosen Law announced that it has filed a class action lawsuit against the company. He claims that the studio’s management misled investors about the state of the game before its release and did not disclose that Cyberpunk 2077 “It was virtually impossible to play” on PS4 and Xbox One due to “a huge number of bugs”. Rosen does not currently have a lead claimant, but shareholders can join him by filling out an online form.
The class action is the first in a series of possible legal battles for CD Projekt Red over Cyberpunk 2077. This past week, The New York Times reported that investors in the company’s home country, Poland, are also considering legal action. The reaction against the launch was so negative that Sony recently removed the game from the PlayStation Store, while Microsoft expanded its return policy. CD Projekt Red has also promised to refund those who bought the game at retail and cannot return their copy. Today’s lawsuit comes after CD Projekt Red revealed that it sold about 13 million copies of the game.
