The Super Bowl ad stock is “virtually” depleted for the February 7 game, according to ViacomCBS.

The thirty-second ads on the biggest advertising night are selling for $ 5.5 million or a little more. But ViacomCBS could still let an advertiser join the game if it made a big offer. CBS will broadcast the Super Bowl on February 7.

The stock on Fox’s broadcast of the 2020 Super Bowl had run out the previous November, but it is not uncommon for in-game ad slots to remain much closer to game time. While the Super Bowl has always been a rare opportunity for advertisers to draw Americans’ attention to their brand, it has been a difficult and uncertain year for many companies.

This year’s line of advertisers is full of new advertisers, as some advertisers like Coca and Budweiser have chosen to stay on the sidelines with respect to traditional ad time. In the meantime, Pepsi will continue to sponsor the halftime show, but is putting aside traditional advertising time. Its sister brands Frito-Lay will still display ads during the game.

New names such as e-commerce company Mercari, the autonomous market Fiverr and used car retailer Vroom will appear in the game next month after a year-long strength at home.
