Shemar Moore, the star of the CBS police drama HIT., has Covid-19, according to an Instagram post he made today.
“I thought I had food poisoning … chills and pain all day today … I can still smell, taste, without cough, without a runny nose … I feel good now”, wrote the 50-year-old actor. “I have to accept the results of the exams … I feel good now … but I have to be responsible !!!! My Christmas and New Year will clearly not be the best … my last year and a half was not the best … but I WILL BE WELL !!!! “
HIT is on a break from holiday production, so Moore’s diagnosis is unlikely to affect any footage.
Moore plays “Hondo ‘on HIT He also played Derek Morgan for 11 seasons in the police series. Criminal minds.
Before these shows, Moore was Malcolm Winters for 11 years on the daytime soap Young people and the restless. He won a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2000, as well as nominations for the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Young Leading Actor in a Drama Series in 1996 and 1997; and a 1999 Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
He was also the host of Soul Train for four seasons.
