Cats will host South Carolina’s No. 10 on Friday

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (11-6, 6-3 SEC) on Friday.

Originally scheduled to start later that night, the first service between the Wildcats and Gamecocks was postponed to 5 pm Eastern Time.

Kentucky enters Friday led by SEC’s newcomers of the week Liam Draxl and Gabriel Diallo, which combined five classified victories in the last weekend. Draxl will be very busy in the best singles court, probably facing No. 1 Daniel Rodrigues.

The clash would mark the second for Draxl – who comes in on Friday as the seventh singles player in the country – against the best player in the country, after defeating then no. From the University of Southern California. 1 Daniel Cukierman 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 on February 10.

The Cats try to prevent a two game skid in the SEC game, while South Carolina has just emerged from the 7-0 win over Arkansas number 31. Kentucky defeated the Razorbacks by the same score on March 5.
