Catherine O’Hara’s 2021 Golden Globe costume nods to Moira Rose

Everything is giving roses to Catherine O’Hara.

While taking home the award for Best Actress in a TV Comedy at the 2021 Golden Globe, the “Schitt’s Creek” star paid tribute to her character Moira Rose with a pink print outfit.

Virtually participating in the ceremony, O’Hara, 66, displayed a personalized suit by Vera Wang with the eponymous flower of the fictional family printed on it.

“As this is the last season of ‘Schitt’s Creek’, I thought it would be nice to give a nod to Moira’s character, which I hope we’ve done,” O’Hara stylist Andrew Gelwicks told people the “capriciously nervous” suit look.

Before the ceremony, Gelwicks revealed at a Zoom roundtable that the Globes’ virtual format gave stylists “the ability to perhaps do something a little more extravagant.”

O’Hara was not the only member of the Rose family to hit the virtual red carpet; his co-star Dan Levy opted for a shiny and chartreuse Valentino suit for the Globes.

Since her favorite season are awardsafter all, Moira Rose would certainly be proud of the sitcom’s recent winning streak.
