A 30-meter tree believed to be 100 years old was felled by strong winds on Thursday night in Bergen County.
Fortunately, the family of four who occupied the house, together with their dog, managed to get out safely.
The tree is also to blame for cutting electrical wires and damaging cars on Glenwood Avenue.
“My parents built that house in 37, so I know that tree. He’s an old friend – so it’s sad, ”says a member of the Georgene Betterbed family. “But the good thing is that nobody got hurt. My neighbor’s front facade is stripped – and his cars, but no one – not even the dogs were hurt. “
News 12 was informed that PSEG arrived at the site earlier and treated the fallen wires.
