Carnival’s Princess Cruises will stop traveling until May 14 due to the coronavirus pandemic

said on Wednesday that it will extend the pause on its Princess Cruises line until May 14, due to uncertainty about travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The break applies to cruises in the Caribbean, off the coast of California and early in the season for cruises in Alaska and Europe, the company said in a statement. Guests currently booking on canceled trips may receive a refundable cruise credit equal to 100% of the fare, plus an additional non-refundable bonus credit equal to 25% of the fare paid. The break had already been extended to March 31. Carnival’s shares rose 0.7% and appreciated 36% in the last three months, while the S&P 500 SPX,

gained 12%.
