It looks like Carmella and Billie Kay will be booked for WrestleMania 37.
As we noted, there has been speculation about Carmella and Billie being added to the match of four teams from Tag Team Turmoil # 1 Contender on Night One of WrestleMania 37, due to a segment behind the scenes of SmackDown on FOX last Friday. WWE announced four teams for the match on tonight’s RAW, and revealed that the winners will move on to Second Night to challenge WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. The teams announced at RAW were Lana and Naomi, Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott, Natalya and Tamina Snuka, as well as Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose.
In an update, WWE rushed in earlier this evening, while having a chart showing Carmella and Billie with the other 4 teams. This tweet was removed quickly, but you can see a copy of the chart below. The WWE website also listed Carmella and Billie as the fifth team, and RAW announcers in Spanish mentioned Carmella and Billie’s team in the match.
There is still no word on when the fifth team will be officially announced for Tag Team Turmoil, but it is likely to happen during Friday’s special edition of WrestleMania on SmackDown on FOX, the last show of WrestleMania 37.
Bayley has yet to announce a match at WrestleMania 37. Fans are now speculating that Bayley may end up taking Billie’s place at some kind of angle, making the fifth team Carmella and Bayley. This speculation is fueled by Carmella’s recent comments about the desire to form a team with Bayley or Billie.
WrestleMania 37 takes place this Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Below is the updated card for the big event, along with a copy of the deleted Tag Team Turmoil match:
