Cardinals’ Kyler Murray suffers injury against Rams, Chris Streveler takes over

Cardinals flag Kyler Murray left the field with a leg injury, Rams quarterback John Wolford intercepted on his first throw as an NFL quarterback and Arizona reserve quarterback Chris Streveler completed a pass for the rookie running back Jonathan Ward for 11- landing in the yard.

This madness, with a playoff spot on the line, gave the Cardinals a 7-0 lead in their regular season final against 2020 against Los Angeles.

Murray entered game week from a leg injury sustained last Sunday in the loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He confirmed on Wednesday that he would play against Rams.

He was injured in a bag by Ram’s Morgan Fox, who appeared to land on the quarterback’s right ankle. The move on the third down killed Arizona’s first move in the game.

When the Arizona holder went into the locker room, Streveler, who signed with Arizona and played for the last time in the Canadian Football League, came into the game after Cardinals linebacker Jordan Hicks hit Wolford’s pass.

Two Streveler submissions to receiver Trent Sherfield and Ward later, the Cardinals had an advantage on Ward’s first touch in the NFL.

Tracy Wolfson of CBS reported that Murray went to receive x-rays, but soon returned to the field trying to get rid of his injury.

Murray was examined at the injury stand before returning to the SoFi Stadium locker room.
