No matter how much the editions of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion did for “WAP”, it would never be enough for Fox News. The rappers cleaned up their filthy hit just enough to present it at the March 14 Grammy, even emitting suggestive phrases like “bucket” and “weed” – along with, of course, the title line. Still, they gave Fox News something to talk about the following night, with Candace Owens telling Tucker Carlson that the “WAP” performance contributed to “a weakening of American society”. (No, “WAP” does not mean “Weakened American Public”.) “Yaaaayyyyyyy WE HAVE FACED FOX NEWS !!!” Cardi tweeted in response to a clip of Owens’ appearance. “Actually, I’m just going to thank Candy,” added Cardi in another tweet. “She put my performance on Fox News giving more views, which drove views on YouTube and is counting on my streams and sales 😜 STREAM ‘UP’ AND ‘WAP'”. another answer to the Fox video, Cardi added, “Wow. Imagine if ‘WAP’ caused the fall of the American empire and not North Korea’s bomb threats, terrorism, racism or bad government? !! THAT WOULD BE SO ICONIC !!! “

Eventually, Cardi’s tweets even reached Candy herself. Candy accused Cardi – calling her by her birth name, Belcalis – of encouraging “young women to strip themselves of their dignity” in a quote tweet. “I don’t know why Candy is so bothered by ‘WAP’. I was inspired by our ex-first lady, ”Cardi tweeted in response, with a nude model photo of Melania Trump that she copied and censored. When sweet then asked about Cardi’s “obsession with the Trump family,” Cardi replied: “I’m obsessed with her being my idol 😍 She showed me that I can get naked, do ‘WAP’ and still be first lady one day!”

Until now, Cardi and Candy’s comings and goings were yet going Strong. Not even an old Candy tweet about cardi can put this meat to bed (although she was right, Cardi does believe in freedom). If you need us, we’ll be broadcasting “WAP” and “Up” and awaiting the day we receive First Lady Cardi B.
