Cardi BThe legal fight with her former manager is finally over – and she seems to be very pleased with the results.
The rapper resolved the dispute between her and Axis, her former manager, who sued her for $ 10 million in 2018 … claiming he discovered her, and that she left him in the cold after she really exploded after the success of her first megahit “Bodak Yellow”.
Shaft claimed that his team of writers / producers created that song for her, and not only that … he claimed that he put it on the mainstream path of fame by putting it on the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ VH1 channel – just to be denied proper payment when she secured millions after that.
Cardi, of course, paid for $ 15 million … claim the contract she signed with him a long time ago, when it was incredibly unfair and very one-sided – not to mention the greed on how much of a cut he was supposedly trying to charge her (a 20% commission at the beginning and then 50 % discount on their publishing contract with Sony, she said). She also said that Shaft tried to control almost every aspect of her life … including who she could date, how Displacement.
These processes were working in your favor through the system for a while – and Cardi was even making requests about how his next statement should be handled – but in the end … it seems that the two sides have reached a mutual agreement to sweep it all under the rug.
AllHipHop obtained docs showing that the matter was closed with prejudice – which means that neither party can report the same complaint again. They also agreed to cover their own attorney fees.

Usually, this means that the money has been changed hands in some way – but, by the way, Cardi is speaking after the news of her deal … it looks like she considers herself the winner.
