Cardi B seems to be minimizing The weekendthe fury of being scorned at the Grammy with a spotlight on other black artists who are being recognized … which is interesting.
The rapper posted a long statement on Saturday about her thoughts on the entire Grammy drama, and although she acknowledged that she thought some albums and songs probably should have been nominated, she doesn’t seem as angry as the others.
All she has to say on the subject of contempt is … “[M]maybe next year they’ll get it right. “
How I feel about the Grammies. Don’t forget to congratulate the little black artist who has been nominated who has been overshadowed by the drama. It’s finally their time! pic.twitter.com/uoSJtG1aqi

What she wanted to talk at length, however, was the fact that a number of independent and lesser-known black artists WERE nominated this year … and that they should be allowed to celebrate that honor, because often they’re forgotten despite to be incredible.
Cardi writes: “Don’t forget to congratulate the little black artist who has been nominated who has been overshadowed by the drama again. Finally it’s their time!” She cites artists competing for an award, such as Freddie Gibbs, Giveon, Brittany Howard, Ant Clemons, Ledisi, Luke James, Thunder Cat, Chika, Jean and Marcus Baylor and more … several of which Cardi notes that they don’t go to the pub, as famous names in the music world do regularly.

She ends by saying, “So, in addition to all the bulls *** let’s not forget to congratulate these artists”, going on to say that this is their moment too and that people shouldn’t overshadow it “because your favorite may not be on the list. “Your choice of words here certainly raises an eyebrow.
Of course, The Weeknd recently vowed to boycott the Grammy going ahead – this after accusing them of being corrupt and running secret committees that supposedly demand a lot of kisses behind closed doors. The Grammys denied this characterization.

Still, it seems that Abel’s other contemporaries mostly agree with him that the Grammys make many mistakes. Drake agreed not too long ago on this exact feeling … and even Beyonceit will be a no-show on Sunday, despite being the most suitable artist.
Guess Cardi – who IS scheduled to perform during the big show – doesn’t think it’s a big deal at the end of the day.
