LAKEWOOD, Colorado (KKTV) – While cooking in her kitchen on Wednesday, a woman from Colorado had unexpected company in a near-fatal accident.
A vehicle collided with the side of a Lakewood house at 5 with Harlan. The impact sent debris and a dishwasher through the kitchen. Fortunately, the woman inside had only minor injuries.
“Sometimes it’s just a matter of inches,” posted the West Metro Fire Department on Twitter.
The driver was not injured in the accident, which is still under investigation. Firefighters managed to retrieve a litter of puppies and take them to a neighbor to keep them safe while teams worked to remove the vehicle and shut down a broken waterline.
