Captain Marvel 2 will talk about Monica and Carol’s relationship

Teyonah Parris of WandaVision revealed that Captain Marvel 2 will show more details about Monica and Carol’s relationship problems during an interview.

WandaVisionTeyonah Parris added fuel to the fire of fan speculation by suggesting that Captain Marvel 2 explains the tension between Monica Rambeau and Carol Danvers.

When asked during an interview whether the tension between her character Monica and Captain Marvel that is shown in WandaVision will be explained to the public “sooner or later,” Parris told ET Canada: “As you know, I was announced to join the cast of Captain Marvel 2 with Brie Larson and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. “She added carefully:” I believe that we are going to get more into this relationship and what is going on with the two. “

The interviewer paused, but Parris remained silent about any other details about what kind of tension exists between the two characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At the WandaVisionIn episode 5, “In a very special episode …”, FBI agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Rambeau discussed which Avenger could have eliminated Thanos alone. While Rambeau insists that Wanda almost had to look after herself, the others mentioned the name of Carol Danvers. The conversation comes to an uncomfortable pause, with Darcy making a strange face for Jimmy.

Although Parris has not confirmed why the tensions exist, or when they started, the two characters will spend time together again in Captain Marvel 2. At the time this book was written, it was not clear what year the sequential film was set. Avengers: Endgame it was set in 2023 and featured Captain Marvel, while his origin story film was set in 1995, leaving decades of time for a subsequent film to play and explore the dynamics of Monica and Carol’s relationship.

Parris previously responded to rumors that Monica would become the new Captain Marvel at the MCU, noting: “Monica Rambeau has had many nicknames over the decades and I think they were all really special in a very particular way.” Parris added, “I don’t know how or who she will be at the MCU. Because when I tell you, she changes her name and kicks ass in all of them.”
