Capitol Siege: FBI arrests Newburgh, Orange County man seen in Capitol revolt photos posted online

NEWBURGH, Orange County (WABC) – Police arrested an Orange County man after he was involved in the US Capitol siege.

Edward Jacob Lang, 26, posted photos on social media, including one that said “This is me”.

FBI agents showed up at Lang’s Newburgh home on Saturday and took him into custody.

They also executed a search warrant.

Investigators have yet to announce specific chares against Lang.

Thousands of supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, while Congress gathered to vote to affirm President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral victory. Five people died in the chaos.

Police officers across the country have been working to locate and arrest suspects who have committed federal crimes. So far, they have brought almost 100 cases to the federal court and the District of Columbia Superior Court.
