Schneider is the third member of Congress blame Republicans for not wearing masks in a safe place during last week’s insurrection.

In an appearance on MSNBC on Monday morning, Schneider said he was “very concerned” about exposure to the coronavirus after seeing his colleagues refuse to wear masks during the blockade.
“For whatever reason they chose not to put on a mask, they put the rest of us in danger,” he said.
“I called my wife to say she was fine. She was hysterical. I soothed her, but I wanted nothing more than to go home and give her a hug. But, because of what happened on the 6th, I couldn’t do that ”, he continued. “I’m sleeping in the basement, I’m isolating myself, I’m wearing a mask when I’m at home. And this is a consequence of the selfishness and arrogance of some of these Republican members ”.
“Their behavior was reprehensible,” said Schneider. “And it is really tragic that the selfishness and arrogance of some Republican members puts many people at risk, including our team.”
