Capitals players respond to Zdeno Chara’s hiring, grateful that they no longer have to compete with him

The Washington Capitals shockingly signed Zdeno Chara away from Boston Bruins on Wednesday for a $ 795,000 one-year deal. The 43-year-old legend may not be what it used to be, but his new companions at Capitals are grateful that they will never have to face him again.

Chara is the tallest player in NHL history and plays a strenuous physical game. The winner of the Norris Trophy is incredibly clumsy and blocks almost everything he throws at you. He also has a power game; he owns one of the most difficult scams in NHL history.

TJ Oshie and Tom Wilson were the first players to react to the news and expressed the gratitude of their bodies for not being injured and beaten as before.

“I look forward to not doing that anymore!” Oshie said along with a photo with Chara throwing him on the ice. “At least not at the games… Welcome to DC Big Z !!! #EVERYTHING IN CAPITALS ”

“What he said,” added Wilson.

Defender of capitals Brenden Dillon posted a photo of Chara yelling at him. “I think we are going to have to continue this conversation in the locker room?” Dillon joked.

Capital legend Peter Bondra offered his guest room in DC for when Chara arrives.

And for good reason. Almost unbelievably, Chara and Bonzai played together in Slovakia’s Olympic team in 2006.

What a strange season. Who is next? Jagr in a bilateral agreement for the taxi squad? I’m ready when you are, Capitals.
