Capcom, I hope you understand what the Resident Evil Village photo mode is about to unleash • Eurogamer.net

Resident Evil Village has a photo mode, new footage confirmed.

IGN has published our first look at the promising horror game running on a PlayStation 4 Pro, and in the lower right corner of the screen we see that you can press the Options button to jump / photo mode (Resident Evil 7 has none of the features) cutscene in question is starring Lady Dimitrescu.

Unless you’ve lived under a rock this year, you’ll know that the Internet is … enjoying the extremely tall vampire from Resident Evil Village.

Lady Dimitrescu is a kind of internet sensation, and there are a lot of fan art (yes, that kind of fan art too) spread all over the web. Lady Dimitrescu’s cosplay also took off. Check it out, from the 6’9 “Ekaterina Lisina model:

In February, a confused Capcom thanked the fans for their … enthusiastic reaction, with Village art director Tomonori Takano, saying that all the attention was “much more than we expected”.

But Capcom has realized that it is a good thing here, and in Asia it is using life-size Lady Dimitrescu cardboard cutouts to sell Resident Evil Village in stores.

Photos of the 9’6 “tall antagonist are also appearing on the side of buses in Hong Kong.

Which brings me to the Village photo mode, which, yes, I’m sure will be used to photograph Lady Dimitrescu in all kinds of … interesting ways.

I hope Capcom knows what it is about to unleash.
