Sometimes deciding when to save a photo can be almost as difficult as taking it in the first place. Canon, however, hopes to help make the process of selecting an extensive photo library of even the best photos easier and less time consuming. He is presenting a new application that features a computer vision algorithm that will help him choose the best image from a series of unrelated or similar photos.
The software takes four criteria into account when classifying your snapshots. He will check that they are clear and free from unpleasant digital noise, in addition to examining the “emotions” on the screen and also checking if the subject is with his eyes open in the case of a portrait. You can set the limit that the application uses to determine whether you should keep a photo. After selecting a handful of winners, it will suggest that you delete the rest to save space on your iPhone. You can also use the app to create albums that highlight specific dates and events from the past.
Downloading the iOS app is free, but you will need to pay a monthly subscription of $ 3 or $ 15 per year to use the software beyond the three-day trial period. Canon is not the first company to offer a photo selection tool. In October, Adobe added a feature called Best Shots to Lightroom Creative Cloud. Like his Canon counterpart, he also uses AI to help streamline the selection of a photo library. It is also worth noting that Best Shots comes with an application that you can use to edit your photos.
