Canelo: I beat the best and critics say they don’t look the same as before

At 30, Mexican superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is motivated to become the first Mexican boxer to be an undisputed four-belt world champion.

In December, he won the WBC, WBA super middleweight titles with the dominance of Callum Smith for a twelve round decision victory.

He is back on Saturday night in Miami, when he faces obligatory world champion Avni Yildirim at Hard Rock Stadium.

If he wins, Canelo will return to the ring on May 8 in a unification clash with WBO world champion Billy Joe Saunders.

And a victory over Saunders could lead to a final showdown with IBF world champion Caleb Plant.

When his career finally ends, Canelo wants to be seen as one of the best fighters in boxing history.

In recent years, Canelo has been criticized by many critics – because they don’t believe he is up against the best.

Canelo disagrees, explaining that he sees the best and makes them look common.

Because with me they have an opponent who does not let anything, an opponent that annuls them. [The critics] they want to find the weak side for everything, they never give credit.
