Candy company that pays $ 30 an hour to eat, analyzes sweets

Sweet show.

A Canadian confectioner is hiring chocolatiers and candy lovers to try treats for the sweet $ 30 an hour wage.

Candy Funhouse is looking for full-time and part-time “candyologists” to taste and evaluate sweets, according to a recent job offer. The candy company, located in Mississauga, Ontario, currently markets 3,000 products and needs candidates with a strong fondness for sweets to help select 10 new and original sweets for its inaugural line under the Candy Funhouse brand.

According to the job posting, candyologists must “taste the samples objectively” and “consider aspects of taste, texture and quality” while following the company’s internal evaluation system to write brief evaluations that can be presented in the materials of Candy Funhouse marketing.

The sweet show is open to anyone in the United States or Canada over 18 with a high school diploma and a passion for confectionery (and no food allergy). Two types of functions are currently available: a full-time function will require an in-person tasting test and a part-time remote job that requires an external test (the candy will be sent to the employee’s address).
