Below, Dr. Frank McGeorge from Local 4 answers some of the most common questions related to viruses and vaccines that we recently received:
No. The recovery from a COVID-19 infection – regardless of the variant you were exposed to – must provide at least 90 days of immunity against other variants of SARS-CoV-2.

People asked whether health problems like COPD, bronchitis, heart attacks and others would make the vaccine unsafe. Ultimately, health problems are another major reason for getting the vaccine. If you have any questions, you should discuss them with your doctor, who knows your health history.
There is no special concern after a joint replacement. You can be vaccinated whenever you are eligible.
No. There is no risk of someone spreading the virus when taking the vaccine. MRNA vaccines do not contain any trace of the live virus.
