The latest teaser for Call of Duty: Warzone has arrived, the alleged nuclear nuclear event, this time suggesting that the zombies are going to the Verdansk bank. Activision is sending piggy banks to influencers with a message that warns of zombies going to the National Bank of the Acropolis.
“Acropolis National Bank has been operating as a zombie institution for years, but no one imagined that its assets would be nearly two meters below … I hope you have Diamond Hands, Operator,” says the message.
Previous teasers included hospital clothes and a prison coverall that referred to how the zombies were heading to other points of interest in Verdansk.
The players speculated that the zombie infestation could get more and more out of control until, eventually, Verdansk will be bombed to solve the problem of the undead. This event was supposed to happen around the end of the 2nd season, which would be in April. The current theory is that Warzone will then be relaunched with a Black Ops theme after the nuclear event.
In addition to these freebie-related teasers, Activision has released some notices from the Armistice Central Command telling players about the spread of zombies and informing them that there is no problem. This is probably advertising within the universe – the zombie infestation is looking more real all the time.
All of this is happening as part of Activision’s effort to tell some kind of narrative in the multiplayer game. In other news, a double XP event is taking place this week in Warzone.
