Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes: FFAR 1 and AUG nerfs

After last week’s minor nerfs, Raven Software came back with another set of adjustments for Call of Duty: Warzoneweapons of. This time, the developer is bringing more considerable changes to the AUG tactical rifle and the FFAR 1 assault rifle.

The AUG, also known as Tactical Rifle Charlie, received a nerf last week, but it appears that it was not enough to control its power. This time, Raven is once again increasing the weapon’s recoil, which should make it much more difficult to control. Raven’s notes explain that she wants the AUG to remain powerful, but not as dominant as it has been recently. Since these changes do not represent a change in the overall damage of the weapon, it is difficult to say how much this will be a nerf.

War zoneThe other dominant weapon in recent weeks has been the FFAR 1 assault rifle, which is a versatile and mobile weapon with many excellent uses. To decrease its power somewhat, the downward aiming speed was reduced. This should give players a short delay before being able to raise their sights in close combat, which can remove some of the impressive power of FFAR 1, especially against submachine guns.

Call of Duty: Warzone April 6, update notes

In general

  • The Camouflage Challenges for Shadowhunter R1 now appear correctly for the Geometric, Flora and Science Camo categories.

Weapons

Cold War Charlie Tactical Rifle (AUG)

  • The recoil force has been increased

Explosion weapons follow a fine line between inefficient and oppressive. The intent of this change is to maintain the weapon’s identity as a powerhouse, making it a little more difficult to handle. At the moment, we feel that it is very easy to stay on target, given how lethal it is. We will continue to monitor the performance of the Charlie Tactical Rifle and make additional changes if necessary.

FFAR 1

  • ADS speed decreased

FFAR is a stick for every job. It has the damage profile and range of an AR, as well as the rate of fire of an SMG. The wholesale effectiveness of FFAR exceeds SMGs in ranges with which we are not stratified. Ideally, the FFAR fulfills the role of a medium-range dominator while falling prey to weapons that excel in close-range combat. We are aligning the FFAR a little more with what you can expect from an AR – damage and reach at the cost of handling.
