Call of Duty Warzone and Black Ops Cold War servers disabled, Activision Investigating [Update]

It appears that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone servers are having problems, with several sources saying they are down. Players are facing queues when trying to enter a match. [Update: Servers now appear to be back online.]

There is very little information about what happened that made the servers for both games suddenly go offline. According to Activision’s support page, the publisher said both games are “experiencing connectivity problems” and is currently investigating them. In addition, there is no clarification as to when the two game servers will be back online. Activision noted, however, that it is “working to restore online services as quickly as possible”. You will have to wait to make your own massive explosions in Warzone or check out the zombies that are apparently spreading across the Warzone map.

Reports state that players are entering long lines when entering matches. Some can’t even connect to the servers. Games Intel reported that some players received messages saying that “the servers are experiencing high volumes” and that they will be “put into a game soon”. Other players are getting absurd error codes like “Yorker 43 Good Wolf”.

However, not all players are experiencing these server issues. While all platforms are experiencing connectivity issues for Black Ops Cold War (except Xbox, as it has apparently been fixed), it appears that PlayStation 4 Warzone players are the only ones seeing server problems. Any other platform for Warzone is fine.

Neither Activision nor co-developers Raven Software or Treyarch Studios have publicly commented on Black Ops Cold War and Warzone’s server problems. It is unclear how long they will be offline as the teams continue to work to fix problems with both games.
