A wanted fugitive in the UK was arrested after he came out of hiding to buy a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Police in Birmingham, England, arrested an armed fugitive when he broke into a cover to buy Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Although the arrest ended in a violent struggle, none of the officers were seriously injured in the prison. Black Ops Cold War, the last game in the hugely popular first-person shooter series, launched in November last year.
While video games can be an unrivaled source of entertainment and fun, the industry also has its fair share of immoral activities. A Japanese man was recently arrested after sending 37 death threats to video game publisher Square Enix. The man, Toshiyuki Kan, would have been furious with his experience in the game Enix Quest Dragon Quest of the Stars. Kan’s death threats were the latest in a series of incidents in which players sent threats to Square Enix’s offices due to a negative reaction to the publisher’s games.

The officers approached two men for suspicious behavior and asked for their information after the video game explanation did not justify the quarantine interruption. After giving a false name, one of the men attacked the police, leading to a fight before the police stopped him. It was then discovered that the criminal was Clint Butler, an armed fugitive who escaped a 17-year prison sentence. Butler was then returned to prison with an additional sentence for assault and evasion.
Unfortunately, the Call to action series had a recent history of tragic news headlines. Last month, a 19-year-old Call of Duty Mobile ESports player Ingrid Oliveira Bueno was murdered by another player in Brazil. The premeditated murder shocked the eSports community and sparked more talk about violence against women in the country. The killer, Guilherme Alves Costa, was arrested after recording the murder and forwarding it to the eSports organization via WhatsApp. More recently, a female from the United States Navy Call of Duty war zone The stream, dubbed “Women of Warzone”, was filled with fire and bomb emojis. The purpose of spam was to acknowledge and protest the recent bombing of the U.S. military in the Middle East after the stream’s text chat was disabled.
THE Call to action The series is very popular around the world and is played by all types of people. Clint Butler’s dedication to the franchise, however, ended up costing him his freedom. Armed robbery and escape from prison are no laughing matter, but Butler’s boredom after a quarantine in COVID-19 still led him to break his cover and expose himself to justice.
