Family and friends are holding rallies at three different locations in Chula Vista on Saturday to garner support and continue the search.

“People from all over the world are approaching her, who met her, worked with her in the past, went to college with her,” Maya’s brother-in-law Richard Drouaille told Fox News on Saturday. “She touched so many people and that was demonstrated through the support we received. It was a blessing.”

Maya’s husband, Larry Millete, did not appear at any of the recent rallies.

“We would like him to be here helping us. Come and help us find your wife,” said Drouaille. “Unfortunately, this is not happening.”

MISSING WOMAN FROM WEST VIRGINIA FOUND DEAD IN WALMART PARKING, INVESTIGATING THE POLICE

Larry Millete told FOX 5 in the days after his wife’s disappearance that he thought she was gone to spend some time alone.

“Initially, I thought so,” Larry Millete told the local news station last month. “But as the days go by, it is very unlikely that this will be the case, because it would not take so long. I am still very hopeful that, with all this media coverage, she will show up and say, ‘Hey, I’m fine.'”

In the past few weeks, however, he has hired a lawyer and has stopped cooperating with the police, reports FOX 5.

“He has a lawyer and does not want to speak to his family. He is staying away,” Drouaille told Fox News on Saturday.

Larry Millete could not be reached for comment Friday or Saturday.

Kennedy also noted that the case touched her and the Chula Vista Police Department.

“I want you to know that I am a mother and my children are my world, and I know that May’s children meant everything to her,” Kennedy said on Friday.
