California man reportedly lived at the airport for months because he was afraid to fly: report

Chicago officials announced the arrest of a California man who is said to have lived inside O’Hare International Airport for three months because he was afraid to fly due to COVID-19 transmission fears, according to a report.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Aditya Singh has been accused of living inside the airport’s security zone since arriving in October. He was accused of a criminal invasion, the report said.

The judge in the case looked puzzled during a court hearing on Sunday and asked how a person could live inside such a large airport for a long period of time. Prosecutors said Singh was discovered by United Airlines employees and allegedly had a lost identity card by an airport employee.

The report said the bail was set at $ 1,000 and he was unable to visit an airport until he appeared in court later this month.
