Caleb Plant fought on Saturday as one of the best fighters in the world. It was no shock that he would not only defeat, but dominate former champion Caleb Truax in his fight for the IBF super middleweight title Saturday in Los Angeles.

After all, the plant was a favorite of 30-1.

He showed the reason for the fight, overtaking Truax by a margin of about 4 to 1 while defeating him and landing the strongest punches. The plant had an advantage of 179-47 in connected punches.

The only negative aspect was that Plant failed to finish Truax, despite hitting him round after round with headshots. Truax showed a lot of determination and determination, but he was defeated and was never in the fight. He made a unanimous decision, winning by scores of 120 to 108 on the cards of the three judges. Yahoo Sports called 120-108 for Plant.

“I feel like I performed well and I wasn’t really touched,” said Plant, who said he felt he had broken his left hand. “I think I did a great job.”

Truax never gave up trying, but Plant accompanied him during the fight, which was the main event of a card full of incompatibilities at Fox. The main fight was no exception, since Plant, who fights for a duel with Canelo Alvarez, commanded the fight from the first moments.

Plant landed an impressive variety of punches, with a constant jab that he used to define everything else. His defense was also excellent, as he had a good head movement to accompany excellent lateral movement.

Plant, who is now 21-0, did not face the kind of opposition that Truax faced. Truax fought Daniel Jacobs, Peter Quillin, James DeGale, Anthony Dirrell and Jermain Taylor, among others. Plant does not have that name on his resume, but he fought like he was at that level when he went after Truax and hit him with sharp, hard shots.

Plant never left Truax dejected or seriously injured, although Truax was showing the effects of all the punishment in the middle of the fight.
