Businessman, wife and son killed in a plane crash in Lyon Township, number of virus victims in the US reaches 350,000, Republicans work to undo Joe Biden’s victory

Former president of the Southeast Michigan Home Builders Association, David S. Compo, his wife Michelle and son Dawson died on Saturday in a plane crash in Lyon.

The small plane crashed into a house on Saturday in Lyon Township with all three on board. Fortunately, the family of five who live in the house left safely.

The number of deaths from COVID-19 in the United States has exceeded 350,000, as experts predict another increase in coronavirus cases and deaths from Christmas and New Year holidays.

Congress is preparing to meet for the start of a new session, swearing lawmakers through a tumultuous period as a handful of Republicans work to overthrow Joe Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump and the rise in coronavirus imposes limits on Capitol Hill .


The number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Michigan rose to 497,127 on Saturday, including 12,598 deaths, state officials reported.

Saturday’s update includes 8,983 new cases and 265 additional deaths recorded over a three-day period. Michigan has not provided an update on the cases and deaths since Wednesday, December 30 due to the holiday.

Over the three days – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – an average of 2,994 new COVID cases were recorded each day. An average of 88 new virus deaths were recorded on each of the three days.

The state reported a total of 363,611 recoveries from the virus as of December 30.
