Busch Clash in Daytona: start time, roster and climate

Finally it’s time to run. Twenty-one cars will begin the 2021 NASCAR season with the Busch Clash on Tuesday night on the Daytona International Speedway road circuit.

This is the first time that the Clash will run on the Daytona road route. The teams will have no practice before the event, making this the first time on track for some riders since the end of the November season at Phoenix Raceway.

Ryan Blaney will start on pole. Alex Bowman starts in second. Aric Almirola starts last.

BEGIN: The command to start the engines will be given by The Busch Guy at 7:02 pm. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 19:14

PREPARATION: Team trucks enter the garage at 10am. The World Cup garage opens at 12pm. Drivers drive to cars at 6:35 pm. Driver presentations are at 6:40 pm. The invocation will take place at 18h54. Pryor & Lee will perform the national anthem at 6:55 pm

DISTANCE: The race is 35 laps (126.35 miles) around the 3.61 mile road course.

SPECIAL RULES: There will be a warning after lap 15. … Teams can work on their cars during a red flag, as long as they are in their pits or in the garage. … The damaged vehicle policy is in effect, but there will be no six-minute clock to complete the job.

TV / RADIO: FS1 will broadcast the race at 7 pm. FS1 coverage will begin at 6 pm The Motor Racing Network broadcast will begin at 6 pm and can also be heard on mrn.com. SiriusXM NASCAR radio will broadcast the MRN broadcast.

FORECAST: The forecast from wunderground.com points to the most cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of 66 degrees and a 9% chance of rain when the green flag falls.
