Everyone knows what to expect when ordering a Burger King. In the future, however, fans of the franchise will have to get used to a new look.
Burger King recently unveiled a new logo inspired by the brand’s classic design, according to Restaurant Business Online. The franchise also announced that it will launch new uniforms, a new color scheme and other changes.

“From 1965 to 98, we had a strong and iconic identity,” Raphael Abreu, head of design at Brands International, father of Burger King, told the news agency. “It was a true classic. We thought back to when we were at our best. We thought it was the best representation of the brand.”
According to Abreu, the latest chain logo aims to look more like a hamburger, signaling the brand’s focus on food. He explained that the previous logo, more stylized, seemed to show that the focus of the restaurant was agility in service.

He continued, “The simplicity of the logo – less shapes, less colors – definitely looks better on the screen if you reduce its size. It definitely reads much better than the previous identity.”

The new brand will take several years to be fully implemented in Burger King and its units across the country. The redesign will be implemented first on the company’s website, but it will take time for restaurants to work with their existing food packaging supplies before using the new designs.
A Burger King representative confirmed to Fox News that the new designs would begin rolling out on January 7.
