Bungie is reworking some of the older Exotics with Season of the Chosen.

According to the developer, the team plans to “shake up” the Aeon set of Exotics in Destiny 2.

For starters, the Aeon Cult Exotic armor pieces will have their own unique sockets and mods. They will be unlocked as soon as you acquire the Exotic, and each is linked to one of the different roles of the Aeon Cult.

The mods are identical in Exotics for all three classes.

Each of these mods has an advantage that focuses on the user and another on the allies. The second advantage includes an “extra benefit” for anyone on the team who has not chosen the same role.

The three Aeon Cult mods, and their associated mechanics, are as follows:

Season 13, or Season of the Chosen, as it is called, begins on February 9 with a weekly reboot on all platforms and runs through May 11.

The story focuses on Kabbalah while Empress Caiatl seeks an alliance with humanity. But, it doesn’t work, and a war breaks out with the Last City.

Season 13 also features Battlegrounds, which sees the return of two classic Strikes, a new Strike called Proving Grounds, new gear, more than 25 weapons, and the Praefectus armor and Ticuu’s Divination Exotic bow.
