Bumble does not allow you to share photos of bikinis and bras if you take them indoors

Internet companies tend to have obscure policies when it comes to sexuality, and this apparently extends to dating apps like Bumble. BuzzFeed News reports that Bumble took pictures of the artist Cali Rockowitz wearing a bralette due to a policy that prohibited photos of swimsuits and underwear in indoors. Apparently, a bikini top or shirtless look is fine, as long as the photos were “taken outdoors” And no, you can’t edit the photos to simulate an outdoor photo.

A spokesman said BuzzFeed the policy went into effect in 2016 after complaints from users and surveys. Shirtless bathroom selfies were the “most stolen,” said Bumble, and cracked down on the affected photos of swimsuits and underwear. External photos are allowed, as they reflect a “natural setting” for bikinis.
