Former ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ actors Danny Strong, Adam Busch and Tom Lenk also defended the actress’ accusations.

David Boreanaz spoke about the allegations of misconduct against Joss Whedon, joining a growing group of former Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel cast members to support their former co-star Charisma Carpenter.

Danny Strong, Adam Busch and Tom Lenk – the “Trio” of Buffy’s sixth season villains – also supported Carpenter online, just like his previous one Angel co-star Amy Acker.

Last week, Carpenter accused Whedon of “traumatizing” her on set and creating an environment that was “hostile” and “toxic”.

“Joss Whedon has abused his power on several occasions while working on sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel,” she wrote about the show’s creator. “The disturbing incidents have triggered a chronic physical condition that I still suffer from. It is with a pounding and heavy heart that I say that I faced isolated and, at times, destructively.”

On Sunday, Boreanaz (now leader at CBS ‘ Seal Team) responded to Carpenter’s statement on Twitter by writing, “I am here for you to listen and support you. Proud of your strength. “

Carpenter answered, “I know you’re here for me, David. I appreciate everything you’ve done to demonstrate that particular support as well. Especially since Wednesday. Thank you very much.”

After Carpenter’s statement last week, fellow Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar gave her opinion with a brief comment on social media. “Although I’m proud to have my name associated with Buffy Summers, I don’t want to be associated with the name Joss Whedon forever. I’m more focused on raising my family and surviving a pandemic today, so I’m not going to make any more statements at this point, but I’m with all the survivors of abuse and I’m proud of them for talking. “

Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Buffy’s younger sister Dawn in the drama series WB, thanked Gellar on her Instagram account and, as a 35-year-old woman, is now “brave enough” to go over that. She further stated that there was a rule, saying, “He cannot be alone with Michelle again.”

Eliza Dushku, who appeared in Buffy and the spinoff series Angel like Faith and James Marsters, who played Spike, along with Buffy writer Marti Noxon also joined the conversation in support of Carpenter.

On the weekend, Tweeted hard that he is “sending love and support” to Carpenter, Gellar, Trachtenberg, companion Buffy actress Amber Benson “and everyone who went public about her toxic experiences in the” series. Busch and Lenk made similar statements on social media and Acker wrote that “Although I personally had a good and professional experience, it is moving to know that not everyone did. … I offer love and support to everyone who speaks their truth frankly.”
