Bud Dupree reacts to the tweet by saying that fans want him

One of the many open market pass rushers that the Tennessee Titans should consider this off-season is Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Bud Dupree.

The Tennessee pass race was one of the worst in the NFL last season, totaling just 19 sacks. A talent like Dupree would be an instant upgrade, as he ended up with almost half the amount of bags the Titans had as a team.

The 28-year-old former first-round player has had 19.5 sacks in the past two seasons, including a career record of 11.5 in 2019, and then eight during the 2020 season, in which he played in 11 games due to an ACL injury.

Former offensive Steelers striker Ramon Foster recently retweeted a Titans fan who is on board with the team that hires Dupree, and the edge rusher replied:

Spotrac estimates Dupree will close a four-year, $ 72.8 million contract, resulting in $ 18.2 million annually.

This seems certain based on his previous production, but it remains to be seen whether Dupree’s injury will damage his value a little. It is true that he is ready to go to the training ground, but it usually takes a season for a player to really return to form after such a serious injury, hence the risk.
