Bruins’ release statement on Bishop Feehan’s injured hockey player AJ Quetta

Boston Bruins is gathering around an injured local hockey player.

AJ Quetta, a senior student at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, suffered a “significant injury” on Tuesday night against Pop Francis.

Quetta went upside down on the boards and had to be stretched out of the ice. He was transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

“It is a significant injury,” Bishop Feehan President Tim Sullivan told The Boston Globe. “We are all praying for AJ, his family and his doctors.”

The Bruins released a statement on Wednesday sending their “best wishes” to Quetta.

There is also a GoFundMe created to help pay for Quetta’s surgeries.
