Bruce Springsteen arrested for DWI on Jersey Shore, official said

Bruce Springsteen was arrested for drunk driving and related charges on Jersey Shore last fall, officials said.

On November 14, 2020, Springsteen was quoted by DWI, reckless driving and alcohol consumption in an enclosed area on Sandy Hook, in the Gateway national recreation area on the northeastern tip of Monmouth County.

“Springsteen was cooperative in the whole process,” said Gateway spokeswoman Brenda Ling in a statement on Wednesday.

TMZ was the first to report the arrest. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, a resident of Colts Neck, is expected to appear in court in the coming weeks, the website said.

The news came after Springsteen, 71, made headlines last weekend when he appeared in a two-minute Super Bowl commercial for Jeep, the first product endorsement of his career.
