Bruce Springsteen arrested for DWI in New Jersey

Bruce Springsteen was arrested for DWI and reckless driving in his home state, it was revealed on Wednesday – days after he appeared in a Jeep commercial in the Super Bowl.

The 71-year-old “Born to Run” icon was arrested on November 14 at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, a spokesman for the National Parks Service said.

Springsteen was accused of DWI, driving recklessly and drinking alcohol in an enclosed area, the spokesman said.

“Springsteen was cooperative in the whole process,” added the spokesman.

According to TMZ, which first reported the arrest, the allegedly suffocated Bruce has a trial date in the coming weeks and has no previous arrest known as DWI.

Springsteen’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The news of the arrest was released a few days after Springsteen appeared and narrated an ad for the Jeep in the Super Bowl, in which he begged Americans to address the political “milieu” in the spirit of unity in the midst of the recent bitter division.
