Bruce Prichard at WWE Never Doing A UK WrestleMania

WWE WrestleMania 37 will appear next weekend at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, and is expected to have around 25,000 fans for the two-night show. The show will take place on consecutive nights on the 10th and 11th of April with a start time of 6pm (Eastern Time).

In a recent episode of Something to Wrestle, current RAW and SmackDown chief executive Bruce Prichard spoke about leadership for WrestleMania 37. Prichard talked about why seeing fans is what he is most excited to see in this year’s Mania .

“I can’t wait,” Prichard said. “You spend your entire life working to get that reaction from the audience and that instant reaction. You have a focus group every night and that focus group was not there. So yes, I’m excited, it’s going to be a wonderful thing. “

WWE never held a WrestleMania event outside of North America and only held two Manias outside the United States. Prichard talked about WWE not doing a WrestleMania outside North America in the UK, saying the reason is expenses, travel and having to have the show later.

“Expense,” Prichard said. “You have to take everyone there, it is very expensive. You have trips, you have equipment, you have technology. This expense, when you look at the time change and everything, [being] Live is a major selling point for pay-per-view. If you are doing something at noon on Sunday that you are used to doing at 6 or 7 pm, there will be less shopping in general. The cost is definitely much higher. “
