Jack Studnicka was hit by a shot he took on Thursday, and Jake DeBrusk is unlikely to be ready in time for Saturday’s game. With the preference of not using Par Lindholm as a wing in mind, it looks like we can see Karson Kuhlman riding a shotgun with David Krejci.
“I don’t think Jake will be ready to go (Saturday), so is it Kuhlman?” Cassidy said after Friday’s practice. “He’s in the taxi squad, Jack got off the ice today, was hit yesterday, will he be ready to go? Let’s move Bjork up and play with the fourth row, which made a great game the other day. Therefore, there will be a small domino effect based on the availability of some players. “
According Providence Bruins reporter, Mark Divver, Kuhlman, Anton Blidh and Steven Kampfer were all off the ice on Friday for the AHL team, meaning they could be traveling to Washington with the big club.
As Cassidy alluded, much of this is based on the availability of some guys, and a clearer picture will not come into focus until after Saturday morning’s skate. Then, time will tell.
