A brother and sister died together in a car accident on a Florida highway this week after a man fleeing the police crashed into his vehicle, officials said.
Domynick Milis, 21, and Danycka Milis, 18, from Omro, Wisconsin, were returning home after seeing the Christmas lights on the Daytona International Speedway when they crashed around 7 pm Tuesday, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
Domynick was behind the wheel of a Nissan Rouge when the suspect in a car theft made an illegal U-turn on Interstate 95, near Daytona Beach, and crashed into the car, killing the brothers instantly, the agency said.
Their brother Drake, 13, and 17 cousin Kyley Larsen, were also in the vehicle; both were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The incident started when police picked up a stolen Altima near Matanzas Woods Parkway and started chasing the vehicle.
The 47-year-old suspect, an Orlando man who drove with his revoked license, was also killed, according to the agency.
