Brooke Shields recovering from a broken femur: ‘Starting to fix’

Brooke Shields is recovering after breaking the femur.

The 55-year-old actress / model posted a video on Sunday on her social media in a hospital gown and using crutches to walk.

“It broke my femur. Starting to fix it. No matter what your challenge is, make a positive choice, by yourself, to move on. #BeginningisNow,” she wrote.

“There is only 20% of the weight …”, added Shields. “The goal is to bend your knee a little bit at a time, just so you don’t drag or pull your hips.”

The Broadway dancer did not reveal when or how the injury occurred.

Some of his famous friends reacted to the news in the comments section. “I’m sorry! Courage … is in your blood. Send love,” wrote actress Glenn Close.

Shields is not the only star to have suffered a difficult injury recently. Ashley Judd is also recovering after breaking her leg in the Congo region of Africa.

Judd explained that the accident occurred when she was on an excursion one night and tripped over a tree that had fallen in the rainforest.

The “Kiss the Girls” star said in total that it was a “distressing” 55-hour ordeal and “started with five hours lying on the forest floor” until she could be evacuated.

“I have a lot of love. I have a lot of compassion and a lot of gratitude,” said Judd. “I thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and support.”
