Broncos Security Justin Simmons said this week that he was heading to the free agency with the belief that the Broncos want him back in 2021 and that the team is moving to make sure he stays.
According to several reports, the Broncos are wearing the franchise brand at Simmons on Friday. It is the second consecutive year that the Broncos score Simmons, who is number 4 on the PFT list of this year’s best free agents.
Because Simmons played out last season on the label, he will be in line for a 20 percent increase in salary. That would set him up to earn $ 13.729 million if he doesn’t sign a long-term contract with the team.
Broncos general manager George Paton said this week that such a pact is the team’s goal and the two sides will have until July 15 to settle it.
