Lucasfilm released a statement of its own as soon as the change was announced. “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her in the future,” Lucasfilm shared in a statement. “However, your posts on social media denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable. “
After Lucasfilm released her, the actress issued a statement to Deadline in response. “The Daily Wire is helping to fulfill one of my dreams – to develop and produce my own film.
